Frequently Asked Questions Welcome to our FAQ page! Below you'll find answers to the questions we get asked the most. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, feel free to contact us. Q: So who's Callie? A: Callie is a mother-daughter duo. Sandy Harris, the daughter, is the creative mind behind the brand, while her mom, Carolyn, is its heart and soul. In fact, “Callie” is Carolyn’s family nickname — a name she lovingly lent to the brand. Q: Where are you located? A: We make all our quilts out of the Callie Studio in Paarden Eiland and from Carolyn's home in Onrus. We currently do not have a physical store, but subscribe to our newsletter and keep an eye on our Instagram page to find out details about pop ups and events. Q: How do I buy a quilt from you? A: Get in touch with us via our contact page for a catalogue of available quilts or to subscribe to our mailing list so that you are the first to know about new releases. Follow us on Instagram to get a sneak peak at what's happening in the Callie studio, and perhaps spot the quilt of your dreams. Q: What payment methods do you offer? A: You are welcome to pay with a credit or debit card, EFT or cash, if you plan to collect your quilt in person from our studio. Q: Can I wash my quilt in the washing machine? A: Yes you can! We recommend a cold wash. We don't recommend tumble drying your quilt - even though we have pre-washed and pre-shrunk the fabric, there is still a chance of further shrinkage if you apply excessive heat. That being said, feel free to iron or steam your quilt. Q: Do you take commissions? A: If you want a quilt made in our design and your choice of colours, we would be very happy to make it for you so please get in touch. We do not, however, under normal circumstances make quilts that are not our designs, unless it is a collaboration. Q: Do you do collaborations? A: We love collaborations! Are you a designer with a fun idea for a quilt? Do you have fabric off-cuts and an idea for a limited edition quilt range? The sky's the limit, let's do it! Get in touch! Q: Will you repair my quilt if it rips or tears? A: Yes! We offer life-time repairs for any items bought from us. We want your quilt to be enjoyed for years and years, and we believe that the most sustainable item is one that you reuse and never throw away. Each quilt is hand-made by us, and so sometimes this results in slight faults that may only show up after some use. If any rip, tear or loose thread is from the manufacturing process, we will repair it free of charge. If the tear occurs because of an external factor we may charge a small fee for the repair, but you can always be assured that this will be minimal. Q: What are your quilts made from? A: Each quilt is made from Linen- Rayon fabric, with nylon thread and a Loomtex inner. The Linen-Rayon fabric is soft and vibrant in colour, easy to care for and will soften more as it ages. The Loomtex inner, which is a Polyester Staple Fibre made from recycled PET plastic, is made especially for quilting. It is sturdy and lightweight while also maintaining warmth and breathability. And watch this space, we will be introducing a wool-inner option soon! Q: Do you offer refunds or exchanges? A: Yes, we have a 30 day return policy. As long as the quilt is in the same condition as sold, we will issue you a refund. Please be considerate when returning any product bought - we are a tiny business and take every sale and every customer very seriously. While we understand that sometimes items may not suit your exact needs, we emphasis that any item returned must have been shown care while in your hands. And remember that we do life-time repairs! Q: How much is shipping? A: We offer free shipping on all quilts. Smaller items such as hot water bottles will incur a small shipping charge. Q: Do you ship internationally? A: Unfortunately we do not ship internationally at this time. However, if you live overseas and would like to buy a quilt, please get in touch and we may be able to work something out. Q: How can I track my order? A: After your order ships, you’ll receive an email with tracking information. Q: Do you offer discounts or promotions? A: Yes!
